Privacy Policy for Simple BP Tracker

1. Information Stored by the App

Simple BP Tracker allows you to enter and locally store:

• First name;
• Last name;
• Date of birth;
• Date and time of a blood pressure reading;
• Systolic blood pressure; and
• Diastolic blood pressure.

The App may also calculate a 30-day average of systolic and diastolic readings retained on your device.

This information may constitute personal and health-related information.

2. Where Your Information Is Stored

Simple BP Tracker is designed to store your personal information and blood pressure records locally on your device.

Foundry and Grit does not operate a cloud database or server for storing your Simple BP Tracker health records.

The App does not use iCloud or CloudKit to synchronize Simple BP Tracker health records.

Blood pressure records entered on one device are not synchronized with another device.

For example, if you separately install Simple BP Tracker on an iPhone and an iPad, each installation maintains its own separate local records.

3. Information Foundry and Grit Does Not Receive Through the App

Simple BP Tracker is designed so that Foundry and Grit does not receive the patient information or blood pressure readings you enter into the App.

The App does not use your patient or blood pressure information for:

• Advertising;
• Behavioral advertising;
• Marketing profiles;
• Data mining;
• Sale to data brokers;
• Cross-app tracking;
• Artificial intelligence training; or
• Machine-learning training.

Simple BP Tracker contains no third-party advertising.

Simple BP Tracker does not include third-party analytics intended to collect your health information.

4. No Account Required

Simple BP Tracker does not require you to create an account.

There is no Simple BP Tracker username or password maintained on a Foundry and Grit server.

Authentication used to protect access to the App is provided through Apple’s device authentication technologies, such as Face ID, Touch ID, or device-passcode authentication, as supported by your device.

Foundry and Grit does not receive or store your biometric information.

5. Data Security

Simple BP Tracker uses security capabilities provided by Apple’s iOS operating system to help protect locally stored information.

The App is designed to use appropriate iOS Data Protection for locally stored sensitive information and device authentication to restrict unauthorized access to information displayed by the App.

No method of electronic storage or security technology can guarantee absolute security. You should protect your device with an appropriate device passcode and prevent unauthorized persons from accessing your unlocked device.

6. Thirty-Day Retention Period

Simple BP Tracker is intentionally designed as a short-term blood pressure log.

Individual blood pressure readings are automatically eligible for permanent deletion once they become more than 30 days old.

Expired readings are removed when the App performs its retention cleanup, including when the App is opened, returns to active use, or performs another applicable cleanup operation.

Simple BP Tracker should therefore not be used as your sole means of maintaining blood pressure records that you need to retain for more than 30 days.

If you wish to preserve your records longer, use the App’s PDF export function before those readings expire.

7. Deleting Your Information

Simple BP Tracker provides a Delete All Data function.

When you affirmatively confirm this action, the App permanently deletes locally stored patient information and blood pressure records maintained by Simple BP Tracker on that device.

Because Foundry and Grit does not maintain a server-side copy of your Simple BP Tracker health records, Foundry and Grit ordinarily has no separate server copy of that information to retrieve or delete.

Deleting the App from your device may also delete locally stored App data, subject to Apple’s operating-system and device functionality.

8. PDF Export and Sharing

Simple BP Tracker allows you to generate a PDF containing information including your:

• Name;
• Date of birth;
• Blood pressure readings;
• Dates and times of readings;
• Systolic and diastolic values; and
• 30-day average, when available.

PDF generation occurs locally on your device.

Simple BP Tracker does not automatically transmit your PDF to Foundry and Grit or another party.

When you affirmatively choose to export or share a PDF, Apple’s system sharing interface may allow you to save or transmit the document using services available on your device, including Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Files, printing, or third-party applications.

Once you choose to send or save a PDF outside Simple BP Tracker, the recipient, destination service, or application may process or retain that information according to its own privacy practices.

You are responsible for choosing where and with whom you share an exported PDF.

9. Thirty-Day Average

Simple BP Tracker may calculate a 30-day average systolic and diastolic blood pressure based solely on readings currently retained in the App.

The calculation occurs locally on your device.

The average is provided solely as a mathematical summary of the values recorded in the App. It is not a diagnosis, medical interpretation, or medical recommendation.

10. Website and External Links

Simple BP Tracker may provide links to Foundry and Grit web pages, including this Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use, and contact information.

When you affirmatively open an external website, normal internet communications occur outside Simple BP Tracker’s local health-data storage.

Foundry and Grit’s website may have separate privacy practices applicable to website visits, including ordinary web-server records or other technologies used by the website.

Simple BP Tracker does not intentionally include your locally stored blood pressure readings, name, or date of birth when opening an external link.

11. Apple and Device Services

Simple BP Tracker operates on Apple devices and relies upon functionality provided by Apple’s operating system.

Apple may separately process information relating to your device, App Store transaction, device backup, diagnostic reporting, or other Apple services according to Apple’s terms and privacy policies.

Those services are operated by Apple and are not controlled by Foundry and Grit.

12. Health Information and Applicable Law

Simple BP Tracker is a consumer blood pressure record-keeping application.

Foundry and Grit does not represent through the App that it is your physician, healthcare provider, health plan, healthcare clearinghouse, or other medical professional.

Health-related applications may be subject to federal and state privacy, security, consumer-protection, or breach-notification laws depending upon how an application operates and the information it maintains.

Foundry and Grit intends to comply with privacy, security, and breach-notification requirements applicable to Simple BP Tracker.

13. Children’s Privacy

Simple BP Tracker is not directed to children under 13.

Foundry and Grit does not knowingly use Simple BP Tracker to collect personal information from children under 13.

If a future version is specifically designed for or marketed to children, the App’s privacy practices and this Privacy Policy will be reviewed and revised as appropriate before such use.

14. Security Incidents and Breach Notification

Foundry and Grit will comply with applicable federal and state requirements concerning security incidents and breaches within its control.

Simple BP Tracker is intentionally designed so that users’ health records remain locally on their devices rather than in a Foundry and Grit health-record database.

The applicability of any particular breach-notification requirement will depend upon the facts and applicable law.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Simple BP Tracker changes, applicable law changes, or our privacy practices change.

The current version will be available through the Privacy Policy link provided by the App and through the applicable App Store listing.

The “Last Updated” date will identify the most recent revision.

Where applicable law or App Store requirements require additional notice or consent for a material change, we will provide it.
